1. Mahira Khan And Ali Askari

Mahira Khan, a renowned Pakistani actress tied the knot with the CEO of MTV Pakistan, Ali Askari on 13 of July 2007. They got married for approximately eight years and in 2009, they were blessed with a son, Azlan. However, the couple separated their ways in 2015 just a year after the birth of Azlan. 

For Mahira Khan divorce meant starting a new page in her life, after that she married Salim Karim, a well-known businessman on 2nd October 2023. They got married in Murree, Pakistan and their wedding was very joyful among their relatives and friends.

2. Shamoon Abbasi And Humaima Malick

Shamoon Abbasi and Humaima Malick, two big names in the TV industry were married in 2010 but faced significant challenges that led to their divorce in 2012. After their separation, Shamoon accused Humaima of being overly focused on her career and not investing enough time in their relationship. 

On the other hand, Humaima countered these claims by revealing that she experienced a lot of pain during their marriage. She admitted to not having the courage to stand up for herself and described her relationship with Shamoon as an “abusive marriage.” 

3. Agha Ali And Hina Altaf

Agha Ali and Hina Altaf, the two most beautiful faces in Pakistani media industry tied the knot in May 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown. The couple’s marriage had been a surprise to many fans, as they had kept their relationship private. 

Recently, TV host Madiha Naqvi confirmed their divorce, stating that the couple is now living separate lives. Both Agha and Hina have not yet publicly commented on the situation, leaving fans disheartened.

4. Sajal Ali And Ahdad Raza Mir

Sajal and Ahad, the most wanted couple tied the knot in a fairy tale wedding in the end of March 2020. After getting fame from their drama Yakeen Ka Safar they were always spotted together. Rumors about their marriage started spreading towards the end of last year, especially, when Sajal started to use her maiden name on social media platforms. 

However, in 2022, the breakup news of Pakistani actors Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly was quite a shock for their fans. It was stated that the couple filed for legal separation in March this year in 2024, marking the end of two years of their marriage.

5. Arij Fatima And Faraz Anwar

Arij Fatima, one of the most popular Pakistani actresses in the drama “Kis Din Mera Vyah Hove Ga” tied the knot with Faraz Anwar in 2014, but it was an ephemeral marriage as the couple separated within a week or less. It is worth knowing that Arij shared details about marital problems within a short time of their Nikah, and things turned worse. 

According to some sources, not only did they decide to live apart, but the relationship escalated to a level of hostility. Claims were made that not only Faraz but even his entire family tried to sabotage Arij’s success and her image​.

6. Mohsin Abbas Haider And Fatema Shah

Mohsin Abbas Haider married Fatema Sohail in 2015, and the couple initially appeared to have a stable relationship. However, their marriage began unraveling after Fatema publicly accused Mohsin of domestic abuse and infidelity in 2019. Fatema revealed that the issues started escalating in November 2018 when she discovered Mohsin’s extramarital affair with a model named Nazish Jehangir. 

Following months of conflict, Fatema filed for khula (a woman-initiated divorce) in a family court in Lahore, citing continuous physical abuse and emotional torment as the primary reasons for their separation. The divorce was finalized in 2019, and Fatema later mentioned that she made the decision to end the marriage for the safety of her child and herself​.

7. Mikaal Zulfiqaar And Sara Bhatti

Mikaal Zulfiqar, a big name in Pakistani drama industry was married to Sara Bhatti, with their wedding taking place in 2012 after being engaged in 2010. Together, they had two daughters. However, their marriage faced numerous challenges, leading to their divorce in 2017, just six years after tying the knot​. In the aftermath of their separation, 

Mikaal shared that the pressures of his acting career significantly strained their relationship. He mentioned the difficulties of maintaining a marriage while working long hours in the entertainment industry, which often led to misunderstandings and assumptions about each other. Mikaal publicly stated that despite their efforts to resolve issues, they ultimately decided to part ways after a long separation.

8. Syra Yousuf And Shehroz Sabzwari

Syra Yousuf and Shehroz Sabzwari tied the knot on October 21, 2012. The couple has been married for seven years and they filed for divorce on February 29, 2020, stating that they are incompatible. The divorce news came out after rumors of the couple’s separation circulated after Shehroz was linked to the model Sadaf Kanwal. 

He also dismissed allegations of being unfaithful to Syra saying that he separated with her in August 2019 and it was not due to Sadaf. However, Syra and Shehroz continue to maintain a formal relationship of respect and share the responsibility of raising their daughter, Nooreh.

9. Annie Khalid And Malik Noureed Awan 

Annie Khalid, the popular pop singer, married Malik Noureed Awan in 2012. However, their relationship was tumultuous from the start. Just three months after their wedding, Annie filed domestic abuse charges against her husband, which led to their separation. The marriage quickly escalated into a public battle, with Annie accusing Noureed of physical abuse. 

In response, he made claims about Annie stealing his money and alleged that she aborted their child. Their divorce settlement included a substantial amount, with Malik reportedly paying Annie Rs 40 million as part of their separation agreement. After her difficult marriage, Annie Khalid has since moved on and found love again, highlighting her resilience and strength in overcoming personal challenges.

10. Sanam Saeed And Farhan Hassan

Sanam Saeed the beautiful face of the Pakistani television screen tied the knot with her best friend Farhan Hassan in 2015. However, due to various marital issues, the couple decided to part ways through a divorce in October 2018. Sanam who is generally a reserved personality has talked about troubles that she faced during such times. 

She also announced after her marriage, her mother got so ill that she had no choice but to become the mother’s full-time caregiver. Consequently, Sanam had only a little time to give to her relationship with Farhan and, as a result, they decided to go their separate ways. Despite the obstacles she encountered in her marriage, Sanam remains active in acting and stays as reserved as possible.

11. Aamina Sheikh And Mohib Mirza 

Aamina Sheikh and Mohib Mirza were the most famous couples in the Pakistani media industry which is now no longer together. Their wedding in 2005 was welcomed with a positive response from the fans and stars as many expected that the couple would have a happy marriage. 

Sadly, the couple broke up in 2018 after severing years of togetherness, and the news was received with disappointment by fans of the marriage. The reasons that led to their separation have not been made public hence underlining the fact that most celebrities’ marriages are not as glamorous as they seem. Sanam has chosen not to disclose the reasons behind their divorce, maintaining her privacy throughout the process. 

In 2020, Sanam Baloch married again, this time to a businessman, and they welcomed a daughter together. However, she has kept the identity of her second husband private, choosing not to share details publicly. This decision reflects her desire to maintain a level of personal privacy, even as she continues to thrive in her career.
