Fawad Khan’s 8-Year Absence Ends: New Romantic Comedy With Vaani Kapoor Announced

Fawad Khan, the stylish Pakistani actor has been missing from Bollywood for quite 8 years now and his fans are really missing his presence on the big screen. But it’s worth the wait and the wait should no longer be any longer. He’s making a grand comeback with a brand new romantic comedy opposite Vaani Kapoor, and the excitement is electric. Get ready to be charmed all over again by his captivating presence on the big screen!

Currently untitled, the movie will be the tale of two complete strangers who meet each other and eventually fall in love. The plot is to be focused on love and joy, as well as the main character’s personal development, which should take place in London. Every possible detail of the plot is still being kept undisclosed but insiders involved in the shooting have disclosed that Fawad Khan in this play will be portraying a smart, humorous character.

The beautiful and talented Vaani Kapoor, who has been a stylist in ‘Befikre’ and ‘War’, will portray the role of the female lead opposite Fawad Khan. A couple of familiar faces to Indian movie fans, Kirron Kher and Kanwaljit Singh are on the list of the cast which will surely assist the movie with their experience.

Much of the movie will be shot on location in London, giving a rich sense of the city and its architecture. It is planned to start shooting in September 2024, and the film will be released at the beginning of 2025. As per the references, The film will be directed by Aarti Bagdi who has the credit of crude movies including ‘Queen’, ‘Udta Punjab’ & the first Indian net series ‘Sacred Games’ featuring Saif Ali Khan.

Fawad Khan was last seen working in Bollywood with Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ released in 2016 which turned out to be a critical as well as commercial success establishing Fawad Khan as a star actor. But after the release of the film Fawad Khan announced that he would not be doing any Bollywood film for the next couple of years due to some personal and professional problems.

During his hiatus, Fawad Khan focused on his career in Pakistan, delivering several acclaimed performances in TV dramas and films, including the hit serial ‘Ranjha Ranjha Kardi’ and the blockbuster movie ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’. He also made his debut as a producer with the Pakistani film ‘Maula Jatt’, which became the country’s highest-grossing film of all time. Fawad Khan’s achievements during his hiatus include several awards and nominations for his outstanding performances, including the prestigious Lux Style Award for Best Actor.
