Renowned Pakistani actor and drama producer Manzoor Qureshi has announced his retirement from the showbiz industry, leaving fans and colleagues stunned. Manzoor Qureshi has been seen in Pakistan’s entertainment industry for over sixty years. He originally stepped into radio industry as a broadcaster and an actor in Radio Pakistan, he was famous for his commanding voice and excellently delivered dialogues. He later joined television and acted in many dramas such as the all times ever green dramas ‘Kis Ki Aigi Baaraat’ and ‘Aasmanon Pe Likha’. He has also made television productions as director/producer in some television dramas like “Mushk” and “Yunhi”!
Besides the television, He has also been presented films such as “Jinnah” and “Armaan.” He has also served as dubbing director, dialogue of many films and so proving his versatility and talent. Over the years, Qureshi has won many awards and has been nominated for many more; some of the major awards include the Best Actor Award at the Pakistan Television Awards, Best Producer Award at the Pakistan Media Awards and Lifetime Achievement Award at the Hum Awards.
It has recently come as a shock to fans and co-workers alike when on 14th July 2024 during a Facebook post, Manzoor Qureshi stated that he has retired from the entertainment industry. It is also important to note that Qureshi wrote a warm post about the industry he was a part of and the people he has worked with, colleagues and friends, the fans who have supported the television shows he has been a part of for many years.

Planning to retire from acting profession after completion of under production telefilm and One Tvc. Had a wonderful time in showbiz over 60 years and enjoyed utmost kindness and love of co-workers during services in Radio Pakistan, journalism and Pakistan Television.
Goodbye folks.”
