This happy announcement was made through a picture sequence and a message, in which it became known that Noor Jehan has been with a foreigner, however, his name is still unknown. The exposure photos focused on the happy couple, the bride-to-be Noor Jehan was captivated by dressing in Western style and her fiancé looking sharp in his suit. The photographs presented before the crowd depicted happiness and joy as the two planned for their future together. Iffat Umar also stated her happiness while announcing that her youngest daughter is engaged now and she has become a mother-in-law.

There was a backlash immediately after her engagement was made public and most of the comments that followed were unfavorable.
