Pakistani Singer Haniya Aslam’s Sudden Death Sends Shockwaves

Pakistani singer Haniya Aslam of Zeb and Haniya fame has died at the age of 39 from a cardiac arrest. The news has sent shockwaves through the music industry and fans alike, mourning the loss of a talented artist. Hanyia Aslam’s music career spanned over a decade, leaving an indelible mark on the Pakistani music scene.

Haniya Aslam’s Career and Achievements

With the inception of the Zeb and Haniya band in collaboration with her cousin Zeb Bangash, the music career of Haniya Aslam reached new heights. The lovers of music would not fail to be attracted by the smooth melodies and the harmonies they were producing. One of them was that they performed for Coke studio Pakistan where they gave one of their top hit ‘Chal Diyay’.

Notable Performances

The legendary singer also got an opportunity to work with renowned music composer A R Rahman and sing a song, “Sooha Saaha” for the Bollywood movie Highway, which made her one of the best singers.  She produced albums like “Chup” and “Kabey Kabey” with Zeb and Haniya to popular and critical acclaim for their unique style and vocals. In 2014 Haniya moved to Canada and was able to continue her music independently. Thus, although she was far from home she continued to compose good touching people’s hearts songs.

According to reports, she suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday, August 11, at the age of 39.  Her cousin and fellow band member, Zeb Bangash, also took to social media to share the sad news accompanied by a touching message about her sister. She shared a heartfelt tribute with the Instagram post. The post featured a photo of Aslam with her guitar, accompanied by a simple caption: “Hanini.”

To put it into context, the funeral prayer of Haniya Aslam was performed in Islamabad on Monday, 12th August. She brightened the lives of many people and made them feel happy whenever they felt sad through her music. Even though Haniya is gone, the songs will keep on playing.
